Construction has commenced on a motorable bridge over Bunwakhola, linking the Jantedhunga and Barahapokhari rural municipalities in Khotang district. Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development and Health, Bupendra Rai, inaugurated the project by laying its foundation stone on Thursday.
The bridge, spanning 148 meters, comes with an estimated budget of over Rs. 175 million. Upon completion, it is expected to greatly improve connectivity in the southern region of Khotang, including Diktel and Khotang Bazaar, while enhancing transportation infrastructure along the Chisapani-Devisthan-Mainatar-Pauwasera route.
